Find Hickman Release Dates

A Hickman County projected release date answers when a sentenced person may leave a named custody under the current calculation. It is not the same as an actual release date. A county pretrial detainee often has no fixed date because bond, a court order, or a transfer controls the next event. A state prisoner may have a projection in Kentucky's corrections lookup, but credits, discipline, new sentences, holds, and release decisions can move it. To learn when they will be released, identify the custodian first, read the date under its exact label, and confirm the completed event through the jail, state, or court record.

Hickman Projected Versus Actual Release

KOOL uses the exact search label Projected Release Date From/To. It is a calculated range field for applicable KDOC records. It is not a scheduled door time and does not prove release. The actual release record is created after the person leaves that custody and can show the date, time, reason, authority, and destination.

A pretrial detainee has no sentence-based projection. Release may depend on bond, pretrial assessment, a judge's order, dismissal, or transfer. A person serving a county sentence may have a jail calculation that does not appear in KOOL. State projections belong to KDOC-numbered offenders, including some state prisoners housed in county jails.

Scheduled versus actual: A projection estimates a possible future state event. A dated jail release sheet or KDOC entry records an event that occurred.

Find Hickman Projected Release Dates

First decide whether the person is a local detainee, county-sentenced person, or KDOC offender. Old Hickman jail references and the reported Fulton servicing arrangement make facility confirmation essential. Call the Hickman Sheriff and Fulton County Detention Center for a local event. Use the state lookup only when the person has a KDOC record.

  1. Collect the full name, birth date, case number, and any booking, DOC, or PID number.
  2. Confirm the actual jail for a Hickman arrest.
  3. For a state offender, open KOOL and search broadly.
  4. Open the matching record and copy each date under its exact label.
  5. For a county sentence, request the judgment and jail calculation record.
  6. Check holds, other sentences, and supervision.
  7. Confirm exit with the jail sheet, Daily Releases, VINE, or receiving agency.

KOOL updates four times daily and shows only part of the state record. Search fields can include name, DOC and PID numbers, location, supervision status, offense data, and the projected-date range. Former-offender history can require a request to Offender Information Services.

Hickman State Sentence Credits

KRS 197.045 supplies Kentucky's main state-credit framework. It mandates qualifying prior-confinement credit and authorizes credits for specified education, treatment, programs, good behavior, meritorious conduct, and emergency service. Current provisions include 90-day credits for approved diploma, degree, or technical achievements; up to 90 days for approved programs; discretionary good-behavior credit up to ten days per month; and specified meritorious credit up to seven days per month.

Those are possible credits, not a promise. Credits can be denied, forfeited, or restored. Consecutive sentences are aggregated. KDOC CPP 15.3 describes operational meritorious-good-time review, but the statute and the person's sentence and disciplinary record control.

No verified Hickman or Fulton local good-time rule was found. State credits must not be applied to every county detainee. For a county sentence, obtain the judgment and ask the jail custodian how the recorded date was calculated.

Why Hickman Release Dates Move

A projection reflects the facts recorded at that time. It can move earlier or later as credit, sentencing, discipline, or legal authority changes. A changed date is not by itself an error.

A court order can precede identity, bond, property, detainer, or transport work. Do not turn an order timestamp into the physical exit time unless the record says so.

Hickman Violent-Offender Release Rules

KRS 439.3401 is Kentucky's violent-offender service rule. Effective July 15, 2026, covered violent offenders serving a term of years generally cannot receive probation, shock probation, parole, conditional discharge, or another early release until at least 85 percent is served. Certain life, capital, and Class A cases use a 20-year minimum framework.

The 85 percent rule does not apply to everyone. Offense, date, sentence, and exceptions matter. Never estimate an individual date by multiplying the sentence alone.

The official 501 KAR 1:030 regulation is shown below. It contains eligibility tables, not promises of release.

Hickman County projected release date parole eligibility regulation

General eligibility rules yield to violent-offender and other offense-specific provisions.

Hickman Eligibility Is Not Release

For ordinary offenses, 501 KAR 1:030 includes a general table with four months for sentences from one to under two years, 20 percent for terms from two through 39 years, and eight years for over 39 years through life. Special categories can override it. Eligibility is the point when consideration may occur, not a grant or exit date.

A hearing schedule, recommendation, final Board order, and physical release are separate milestones. Holds and processing can intervene. Compare the KOOL projection, governing order, and actual release event.

Note: Hickman County pretrial custody has no sentence-based projection, and no researched local weekend-release rule can be promised.

Confirm Hickman Actual Release Dates

For a confirmed Fulton booking, request the booking and release sheet. Ask for actual release date and time, reason, authority, and destination. Then compare the Hickman court order. A local exit can mean bond, time served, probation, court order, or transfer.

For a state offender, inspect the KDOC Daily Releases PDF. Fields include DOC number, name, Type of Release, Released From, and highest felony class. The printed PDF date controls if a link label differs. Mandatory Reentry Supervision and Shock Probation Began describe supervised release, while Discharged - Minimum Expiration is different.

The Hickman County VINE check can provide an alert and reported release date. VINE is not a certified order, so corroborate it with the source record.

Hickman County Date Channels

Local and state systems calculate different populations. A Fulton jail record concerns the booking held there. KOOL concerns a KDOC offender or person on state supervision. The Parole Board concerns eligibility and release decisions for people within its authority. VINE reports status received from a named source. Mixing these fields can produce a date that looks precise but answers the wrong question.

A Hickman County probation order may end or avoid confinement without creating a state-prison projection. Bond also ends jail custody while the criminal case continues. By contrast, a KDOC minimum-expiration or projected-release field grows from a state sentence calculation. Label the person's status before choosing a date source.

Request Hickman Calculation Records

When the public date does not explain itself, request an existing calculation or offender record. For a Fulton booking, identify the person, booking date, and case, then ask for the custody-history and release fields. For a state offender, KDOC Open Records lists correctionsopenrecords@ky.gov, a mailing address at P.O. Box 2400 in Frankfort, and fax 502-564-9575. Supply a birth date or offender ID with the full name.

Ask for records in their existing form. A narrow request can seek the judgment, credited prior confinement, sentence aggregation, and current projected-release calculation. The agency may redact protected content or cite an exemption. Kentucky's KDOC page describes a five-day response framework under KRS 197.025, subject to the record and applicable limits.

Court records belong with Hickman Circuit Court Clerk Melanie Dowdy rather than an executive-branch request. Ask for the judgment, sentence, and later orders. The court file explains legal authority; the custodian's calculation explains how that authority was applied to time.

Transfers After Hickman Release

A projected exit from one system can lead straight into another. A detainer is a request or hold tied to another agency. If the local sheet names KDOC, another county, the U.S. Marshals Service, or ICE, follow that source. The first date remains a release from Fulton but is not proof of freedom from custody.

For actual confirmation, place the release sheet, court order, VINE update, and receiving record in time order. Identity should match by more than name. Date of birth, booking or DOC number, case number, and arrest date reduce false matches. This method also reveals routine update lag without treating it as a contradiction.

Read Hickman Release Labels

Preserve the source's terms. "Projected Release Date" is an estimate. "Parole eligibility" marks possible consideration. "Recommended" describes a Board outcome that still requires a final order and release processing. "Mandatory Reentry Supervision" describes a supervised community release. "Discharged - Minimum Expiration" reflects sentence completion under KDOC's category. These labels are not interchangeable.

A Daily Releases report supplies the releasing facility and type, while KOOL can show the current location or supervision layer. A local jail sheet can provide the exact time and destination. When two dates differ, determine whether one is an order, one a calculated date, and one the physical event. That distinction usually resolves the apparent conflict without guessing.
