Private collections can mislabel dates, combine people with similar names, or keep an image after the source changes. Verify with the originating office. Do not use a paid removal service as a substitute for the official correction or court process.
Hickman State Offender Photos
KOOL is Kentucky's official corrections lookup for state prisoners and many people under community supervision. It is not a full archive of Hickman County arrests. Search by last name and first initial or a known DOC or PID number. Compare identity, offense, location, and supervision fields.
A camera icon means a photograph is available, though not every record has one. The image is a KDOC offender photo and may differ from the local arrest photo. KOOL displays only the last ten convictions and directs historical former-offender requests to Offender Information Services. For a state record outside the site, use KDOC Open Records.
VINE can carry separate local-jail and KDOC records for one person. Keep them separate. A photo from one source does not prove the status shown by another.
Hickman Mugshot Law and Removal
KRS 61.8746 targets a specific practice. A publisher of a criminal-history record, including a booking photo, that charges to remove it must remove it without charge upon written request when a listed qualifying event is met. Events include acquittal, dismissal with prejudice, expungement, pardon, or a record belonging to someone else.
The statute does not erase the government record by itself. A request to a private publisher differs from asking an agency to correct its file or seeking expungement. Preserve the final court disposition and send a focused request to the party displaying the image.
Hickman Expungement Photo Effects
Kentucky expungement begins with statewide certification. An eligible filing then proceeds through Circuit Court Clerk Melanie Dowdy's office for the Hickman case. Eligibility depends on the charge, disposition, sentence, and statutory timing. A jail release date alone does not establish it.
For most eligible Class D felonies, Kentucky measures five years from the later of sentence completion or successful completion of probation or parole. Someone may leave jail years before supervision ends. Keep the release sheet, judgment, discharge record, and certification together.
An expungement order can change access to the official case and support correction requests elsewhere. It does not ensure every copied image vanishes at once. Send the final order to each holder through its stated process and confirm the result.

Sealing and expungement should not be confused with a routine roster refresh. A roster may remove a person simply because custody ended, while the underlying booking record still exists. Conversely, a court order may restrict the official record while cached or copied pages take time to change. Each holder must be addressed through the process that applies to it.

Verify a Hickman Mugshot Match
A visual resemblance is not enough to identify a person. Booking photos can be years apart, image quality can vary, and people can share names. Start with the agency name and booking number. Then compare the full legal name, middle name, date of birth, approximate arrest date, and court case number. For a KDOC photo, add the DOC or PID number and the record's location.
The custody source matters as much as identity. A Fulton County jail image can relate to a Hickman charge, a Fulton charge, or another arrangement. Ask which arresting agency and court case belong to the booking. A KOOL image belongs to a Kentucky corrections record and may reflect a later state intake, not the photo from the local arrest.
Dates also need labels. The day a news story ran is not necessarily the booking date. The date a roster was captured is not the release date. A booking photograph itself may not display when custody ended. Use the release sheet for the actual exit field and the court order for the legal reason. If the record names a transfer destination, check that receiving custodian before describing current status.
